You deserve therapy that is unique to you. . .

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) offer various techniques to assist in the management of difficult thoughts and emotions. CBT encourages recognition of thought patterns and core beliefs that inhibit positive thinking. CBT encourages one to change negative thoughts and beliefs. ACT promotes engagement in values directed choice making, and encourages one to defuse negative thoughts and expand around or accept difficult emotions. Learn a little more about ACT in my blog.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. EMDR is one of the most evidence based treatments for trauma. It uses elements of cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness, with bilateral stimulation (tapping of alternate hands or eye movements), to encourage the brain to reprocess and diminish the intensity of difficult memories and experiences. Read more about the process and experience of EMDR here in my blog.

Music Therapy is an allied health profession requiring a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in music, a 1040hr internship, and a national board certification exam. Davida specializes in group drumming and therapeutic songwriting.

Yoga is used in therapy for mindfulness, self and body awareness, breathing, and coping. Davida completed a 200hr certification in Deep Yoga in 2014, which is characterized by aligning movement with breath and mantra (affirmation).

Experiential Therapy. Since Davida started her career as a musician, she approaches therapy from a creative and experiential lens. In addition to music therapy and yoga, Davida also provides options for integrating creative arts, collage, sand tray, and walking outside.

Online Therapy is convenient and a great option for a lot of clients. Davida provides online therapy in a HIPAA compliant manner to clients who live in the state of California.

Online Tools. Many clients would like to have some of the exercises we do in session to be recorded or available outside of the session. Because of this, I’ve launched a YouTube Channel to support anyone in building their practice in mindfulness and resourcing. You can find my content on YouTube here.
